Marian Thomas' Widows Fund

The Widows Fund was established in honor of Marian Thomas. Marian was an active widow at McKnight Crossings Church for many years and had a heart for other widows. At her request and in keeping with Scripture, the leadership is happy to designate and administer these funds for the benefit of widows in need.

Room at the Inn

Room at the Inn – Matthew 25:35-40 “'For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'”

This scripture depicts what we at McKnight have been doing for over 20 years, serving those who have unfortunate life situations. This ministry involves over 50 centers in our area with a central office in Bridgeton. We serve women and children in our building on the first Friday of each month, transporting them to our building, cooking their evening meal, socializing, and serving as hosts as our guests sleep in a designated area. The next morning a small breakfast is served and our guests are transported back to the center.

Visit the Room at the Inn Event for more information.
